Welcome to The Butler’s Pantry, Farm Kitchen and Bar

Passionate about farming and our Sussex produce.

About Us

Set within the grounds of Heaven Farm, the Butler family are now fourth generation farmers, having farmed in Sussex for over 300 years. The strong family passion for British food production and high standards of animal welfare is at the heart of The Butler’s Pantry, as we use not only our own produce but also that of our neighbouring local farmers.

 The menus reflect the seasonal variation of our local environment and also embrace the idea of a traditional Sussex Farm Kitchen, where the whole family convenes to enjoy good food and wine after long hours working on the farm.

The Butler’s Pantry is a true Sussex Farm Kitchen

Every season in Sussex provides us with constantly fabulous produce, which our Head Chef Ben McAhren utilises to create his seasonal menus.  The Sussex Barn runs as a true Sussex Farm Kitchen, where all you need to do is reserve the table and let us know how many courses you would like, then sit back and enjoy the meal. 

The Sussex Barn is open Thursdays to Sundays for lunch and also hosts The Friday Night Supper Club and The Butler’s Kitchen Supper on Saturday nights.

The Stables Cafe continues our family farm dining experience with our breakfast sharing platters and family meal daily specials. 

It serves a light lunch menu for visitors to the farm who would prefer just a quick bite,  afternoon tea, a selection of home-made cakes, available throughout the day and a Dove’s Playbarn childrens menu. 

Throughout the Summer we run BBQs outside on as many days as we can depending on our wonderful British weather!
