Arthur Alberts first time lambing

We had such a great day yesterday meeting our neighbouring sheep farmer Rufus Clark who farms down the road at Cinder Hill. Rufus’s grandparents bought the farm in 1911 originally as a shooting estate which was then converted to a fruit farm but his grandparents always had sheep. Rufus now farms around 500 ewes and has also continued the shoot on the farm. I was fortunate enough to do all my lambing experience through vet school with Rufus and yesterday took my son, who is just about to turn five for his first introduction to meet the lambs with his teddy peche! We look forward to a supper club where our clients can meet Rufus to talk about his sheep farming and enjoy the produce from his farm throughout the year!
